Startup Inno is seeking a highly motivated and impact-driven Data Scientist – Sustainability & Renewable Energy Models to join our growing analytics and innovation team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced data-driven models that support renewable energy systems, sustainability strategies, and climate-focused decision-making. You will work at the intersection of data science, environmental science, and engineering to help organizations optimize energy production, reduce carbon footprints, and drive sustainable business outcomes.

Design and build predictive and prescriptive models for renewable energy systems such as solar, wind, hydro, and smart grids.
Analyze large-scale datasets related to energy consumption, weather patterns, emissions, and environmental performance.
Develop forecasting models for energy demand, supply, and system efficiency.
Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to optimize energy production and sustainability initiatives.
Collaborate with sustainability consultants, engineers, and product teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders and decision-makers.
Validate models and ensure robustness, scalability, and performance.
Continuously monitor and improve deployed models.
Stay updated on industry trends in renewable energy, ESG metrics, and climate analytics.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Strong programming skills in Python or R; experience with SQL.
Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Solid understanding of statistical modeling, regression, time series analysis, and forecasting techniques.
Experience working with large datasets and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib/Seaborn.
Knowledge of sustainability metrics, carbon accounting, or energy systems is a strong advantage.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
2–5 years of experience in a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role.
Prior experience in energy, utilities, sustainability, environmental analytics, or climate tech is highly preferred.
Experience in building and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
Exposure to IoT, sensor data, or geospatial data is a plus.
Full-time position.
