Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Staff Data Scientist to lead our Product Analytics & Experimentation initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving data-informed decisions, optimizing product performance, and enabling rapid experimentation across all product lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, analytics, and statistical modeling, with proven experience in translating complex data into actionable insights that influence strategic product decisions.

As a Staff Data Scientist, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Design to establish experimentation frameworks, design impactful analyses, and measure the effectiveness of product initiatives. Your insights will shape product strategy and drive the next generation of innovative features at Startup Inno.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests and multi-variant experiments to optimize product features and user experience.

  • Partner with product and engineering teams to develop and implement analytics strategies, dashboards, and KPIs.

  • Translate complex data sets into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

  • Develop predictive models, statistical algorithms, and advanced analytical frameworks to drive product growth.

  • Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of rigorous experimentation and data-driven decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, collection, and instrumentation across products.

  • Communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, supporting strategic business decisions.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong expertise in product analytics, experimentation, and causal inference.

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar data analysis languages.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to communicate insights effectively.

  • Proven ability to design and analyze large-scale experiments and interpret results.

  • Solid understanding of machine learning models, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.


Experience

  • 7+ years of professional experience in data science, with a focus on product analytics and experimentation.

  • Hands-on experience designing and executing experiments in high-growth product environments.

  • Track record of influencing product strategy and business outcomes through data-driven insights.


Working Hours

  • Full-Time, standard working hours. Flexibility for remote or hybrid arrangements available.

  • Occasional collaboration across time zones may be required depending on team distribution.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of statistical inference, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.

  • Ability to translate quantitative findings into clear business recommendations.
