Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Payroll Specialist with expertise in Sage and Xero accounting platforms. This role is ideal for a meticulous professional who can manage payroll processes efficiently for a dynamic, fast-growing startup. As a Payroll Specialist, you will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing, maintain compliance with tax regulations, and provide reliable support to employees and management. This fully remote role offers flexibility while enabling you to make a significant impact on the companys financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage payroll for employees accurately and on time using Sage and Xero platforms.

• Maintain and update employee records, including new hires, terminations, deductions, and benefits.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.

• Prepare payroll reports for management, accounting, and audits.

• Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Liaise with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes and maintain data integrity.

• Assist in the setup and administration of employee benefits, allowances, and bonuses.

• Continuously review payroll procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.

• Strong proficiency in Sage and Xero accounting software.

• Solid understanding of payroll legislation, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.

• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle confidential information professionally.

• Ability to troubleshoot payroll issues independently and efficiently.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years of payroll management experience, with hands-on experience using Sage and Xero.

• Prior experience working in startups or small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with remote work tools and cloud-based accounting platforms.

Working Hours

• Full-time remote position.
