Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Online Social Media Moderator to join our global team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a safe, engaging, and positive online environment for our communities across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will monitor content, respond to user inquiries, enforce community guidelines, and escalate issues when necessary. This is a remote, night shift position aligned with US and UK operational hours, offering flexibility while contributing to a dynamic digital ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor social media platforms, forums, and online communities to ensure content complies with company policies and community standards.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to user queries, comments, and reports.

  • Identify, escalate, and report inappropriate, abusive, or suspicious content to the relevant team.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Content, Customer Support, and Legal, to address emerging issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of user interactions, incidents, and content moderation actions.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving community engagement and platform safety.

  • Stay updated on trends, potential risks, and platform policy changes to ensure effective moderation.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media moderation, online community management, or customer support.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to make quick, accurate decisions.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, etc.) and moderation tools.

  • Ability to handle sensitive or challenging situations with professionalism and discretion.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Experience

  • Minimum of 1–2 years in social media moderation, community management, or online customer service.

  • Experience with global audiences, preferably US and UK communities.

  • Prior exposure to content moderation guidelines and online safety protocols is highly desirable.


Working Hours

  • Night shift aligned with US/UK time zones (typically 8 PM – 4 AM, flexible based on assignment).

  • Fully remote position with the ability to work from a stable internet connection.
