Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated E-commerce Product Lister to join our online sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, uploading, and managing product listings across multiple online marketplaces, including Takealot and Amazon South Africa. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, and has a keen eye for accuracy to ensure that all product information is correct, engaging, and optimized for search visibility. This is a remote position offering the flexibility to work from home while contributing to Amazons growth in the South African e-commerce market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage accurate, high-quality product listings on Takealot and Amazon SA.

  • Conduct keyword research to optimize product titles, descriptions, and search terms.

  • Upload product images, ensuring they meet marketplace standards and best practices.

  • Monitor listings for errors, discrepancies, or missing information and resolve them promptly.

  • Maintain consistent product categorization and adherence to platform guidelines.

  • Collaborate with the inventory and marketing teams to update listings based on promotions or new product launches.

  • Track product performance metrics and suggest improvements for listings to enhance visibility and sales.

  • Stay up-to-date with e-commerce trends and best practices for online marketplaces.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace.

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Amazon Seller Central, Takealot Seller Portal, or similar.

  • Strong written communication skills and ability to write compelling product descriptions.

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and listing creation.

  • Basic knowledge of SEO and keyword optimization for product listings.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


Experience

  • Minimum of 1–2 years experience in e-commerce product listing, online sales, or digital catalog management.

  • Prior experience managing listings on Amazon, Takealot, or other e-commerce marketplaces is highly desirable.


Working Hours

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday.

  • Standard business hours with flexibility for remote work arrangements.

  • Occasional extended hours may be required during product launches or promotional campaigns.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and optimize listings accordingly.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
