Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Assistant / Coordinator to support construction and infrastructure projects across its rapidly expanding facilities network. This role plays a critical part in ensuring construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with Amazons high standards for safety, quality, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate activities, track progress, and maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from initiation to completion.

  • Track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring timely reporting and updates.

  • Coordinate communication between internal teams, contractors, architects, engineers, and external vendors.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including meeting minutes, reports, schedules, drawings, and contracts.

  • Support procurement processes by coordinating purchase orders, invoices, and vendor documentation.

  • Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to project plans, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify potential risks or delays and escalate issues to project leadership with recommended solutions.

  • Assist in organizing site meetings, inspections, audits, and project reviews.

  • Ensure compliance with Amazons construction standards, policies, and local regulations.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with construction documentation, schedules, and basic budgeting principles.


Experience

  • 1–4 years of experience in construction project coordination, project assistance, or a similar role.

  • Prior experience working on commercial, industrial, or large-scale construction projects is preferred.

  • Exposure to fast-paced, deadline-driven environments is an advantage.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position.

  • Standard business hours, with flexibility required to support project deadlines or site activities.

  • Occasional site visits or extended hours may be required depending on project needs.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and project life cycles.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.

  • Strong coordination and follow-up skills to ensure tasks are completed on time.
