Job Summary

Home Depot is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Freight/Receiving Associate to join our overnight operations team. This role is essential to ensure the efficient and accurate handling of merchandise, maintaining stock integrity, and supporting smooth store operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, physically active environment and is committed to delivering high-quality results while adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.

• Stock merchandise on the sales floor and in the warehouse according to store layout and organizational standards.

• Conduct inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company policies and OSHA guidelines.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.

• Assist with order preparation, staging, and fulfillment as needed.

• Communicate effectively with management and team members to support operational goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand or walk for extended periods.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Basic math and computer skills.

• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.

• Reliability and strong work ethic with flexibility to work overnight shifts.

Experience

• Previous experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or retail logistics is preferred but not required.

• Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.

Working Hours

• Overnight shifts, typically starting late evening and ending early morning.

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and additional shifts as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of safe material handling and storage practices.

• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.

• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
