Home Depot is seeking a strategic and hands-on DC HR Manager to lead the human resources function for our Distribution Center. This role is pivotal in driving workforce engagement, operational efficiency, and talent development across the DC. The ideal candidate will combine strong HR expertise with leadership acumen to foster a high-performing, inclusive, and safety-focused work environment.
The DC HR Manager will act as a trusted business partner to operations leadership, providing insight, guidance, and solutions across all HR disciplines including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and compliance.
Partner with DC leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
Oversee all employee relations issues, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant practices.
Lead talent management initiatives including recruitment, onboarding, retention, succession planning, and performance management.
Promote a culture of safety, engagement, and accountability within the DC.
Implement and monitor HR policies, procedures, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Facilitate workforce planning, organizational design, and staffing strategies to meet operational needs.
Drive HR metrics and analytics to support data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with corporate HR teams to align DC HR programs with company-wide initiatives.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
Solid understanding of labor laws, HR compliance, and best practices.
Proficiency in HR systems and data analysis tools.
Ability to influence and partner with senior leaders in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Experience with unionized environments is a plus.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles in distribution, logistics, or large-scale operations.
Proven experience managing HR operations in a union or non-union distribution center environment is highly desirable.
Full-time role, standard DC operational hours with flexibility to support operational needs, including occasional evenings or weekends.
In-depth knowledge of HR processes including recruitment, employee relations, benefits, payroll, and compliance.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret HR metrics and drive actionable insights.
