Walmart is seeking a dedicated Asset Protection Manager (Loss Prevention) to lead our efforts in safeguarding company assets, ensuring operational compliance, and fostering a secure environment for both associates and customers. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can identify risks, develop effective loss prevention strategies, and drive team performance across multiple operational areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security management, investigative procedures, and team leadership.
Develop, implement, and monitor loss prevention strategies and programs to minimize shrink, theft, and fraud across assigned locations.
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of asset protection associates to ensure effective enforcement of company policies and procedures.
Conduct thorough investigations into theft, internal policy violations, and other security incidents, documenting findings accurately.
Collaborate with local law enforcement, security vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and enhance safety protocols.
Analyze data from point-of-sale systems, inventory records, and surveillance to identify trends and vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal standards related to safety, security, and loss prevention.
Participate in training programs to educate associates on security awareness, safety procedures, and theft prevention techniques.
Manage operational budgets related to loss prevention programs and maintain accurate reporting of asset protection activities.
Strong knowledge of loss prevention methodologies, security protocols, and retail operations.
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail for investigating incidents and identifying risk patterns.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and security management software.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with all levels of the organization.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in sensitive situations.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in loss prevention, security management, or related roles within a retail environment.
Proven track record of successfully leading teams and managing complex investigations.
Experience working with law enforcement, conducting audits, and implementing security programs is highly preferred.
Full-time role with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
On-call responsibilities may apply for urgent incidents or critical situations.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
Ability to interpret and enforce company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Skilled in risk assessment, incident reporting, and implementing corrective actions.
