Job Summary

Delta Airlines is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our Corporate Functions team. This role is critical in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, providing consultative support to leaders, and driving talent initiatives that enhance organizational performance. The HR Business Partner will act as a strategic partner, trusted advisor, and change agent to ensure that our workforce is engaged, empowered, and equipped to deliver Deltas mission of excellence in service and innovation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR advisor for assigned corporate functions, building strong relationships with senior leaders and employees.

  • Partner with business leaders to understand strategic goals and provide HR guidance to drive organizational performance.

  • Facilitate workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and performance management processes.

  • Lead or support organizational change initiatives, including restructures, process improvements, and culture transformation.

  • Provide coaching and guidance on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.

  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends, recommend solutions, and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Support the development and execution of employee engagement and retention programs.

  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Expertise (Compensation, Learning, Talent Acquisition) to implement best practices.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Masters degree preferred.

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or equivalent role in a corporate environment.

  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, policies, and employment laws.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with leaders at all levels.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret HR metrics to drive action.

  • Experience with HR systems and tools (e.g., Workday, SAP, SuccessFactors).


Experience

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a business partner or strategic HR role supporting corporate functions.

  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization is highly desirable.

  • Proven track record in talent management, organizational development, and employee relations.


Working Hours

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday.

  • Standard corporate hours, with flexibility as needed to support business priorities.

  • Occasional travel may be required to support cross-functional initiatives and leadership meetings.
