Apple Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer (L4) specializing in Cloud Infrastructure & Security to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud systems that support Apples global products and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust security protocols, optimize infrastructure efficiency, and drive innovation in cloud computing. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure cloud-based infrastructure for Apple services and products.

• Implement security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and threat detection mechanisms.

• Collaborate with product, operations, and security teams to ensure cloud systems meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards.

• Develop automation tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and incident response in cloud environments.

• Participate in code and architecture reviews, providing expertise on security and performance optimizations.

• Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and security issues, including vulnerability assessments and risk mitigation strategies.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++.

• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or Apples internal cloud services).

• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.

• Solid knowledge of network security, cryptography, and access control mechanisms.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and implement secure solutions.

• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).

Experience

• Minimum of 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years focused on cloud infrastructure and security.

• Proven track record of developing and deploying secure, scalable cloud applications.

• Experience in a fast-paced, large-scale technology environment is preferred.

Working Hours

• Full-time role with flexible working hours.

• Occasional on-call support may be required for critical infrastructure incidents.
