Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Virtual Data Entry Clerk to manage and maintain our Product Catalog for a leading UAE-based retail/wholesale distributor. Your primary mission is to ensure that thousands of products are accurately reflected across our internal databases and e-commerce platforms. This role is essential for maintaining inventory integrity and providing customers with the precise information they need to make purchases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Catalog Population: Accurately enter product details (SKUs, titles, dimensions, materials, and weights) from supplier spreadsheets into our central database.

  • Pricing Updates: Regularly update wholesale and retail prices, ensuring VAT (5%) is correctly calculated and applied according to UAE regulations.

  • Content Migration: Upload high-resolution product images and technical spec sheets, ensuring files follow the company naming conventions.

  • Data Cleaning: Audit existing listings to identify and correct typos, broken links, or missing attributes to maintain a high-quality catalog.

  • Categorization: Map products to the correct hierarchies (Categories/Sub-categories) to ensure easy searchability for the sales team and customers.

  • Inventory Syncing: Cross-reference stock levels between warehouse reports and the digital catalog to identify discrepancies.


Requirements:

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in data entry, preferably in E-commerce, Retail, or Supply Chain.

  • Typing Speed: Minimum of 50–60 WPM with 99% accuracy.

  • Language: Professional fluency in English. The ability to read basic Arabic (for product labels/descriptions) is a significant plus.

  • Attention to Detail: A detective eye for spotting small errors in long lists of alphanumeric data.

Technical Requirements:

  • Software: Mastery of Microsoft Excel (specifically Clean functions, Concatenate, and Remove Duplicates).

  • Platforms: Familiarity with back-end management in Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce is highly desirable.

  • Cloud Tools: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets/Drive) and Airtable.

  • Connectivity: Stable high-speed internet and a reliable laptop/PC.


Work Details:

  • Location: 100% Remote (Candidates must be available for a daily 15-minute sync during UAE business hours).

  • Schedule: Full-time or Part-time (Flexible hours available, as long as daily quotas are met).

  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate or monthly project-based salary (Tax-Free).

  • Training: We provide a 2-day virtual walkthrough of our specific ERP and catalog standards.
