Global MNC Tech is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join our US Taxation team during the peak tax season. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing US Individual and Business tax returns, particularly Form 1040 and Form 1120. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant tax filings for US clients while maintaining the highest standards of quality and confidentiality. The position offers fixed weekly offs, a structured work environment, and exposure to complex US tax engagements.
Prepare, review, and finalize US Individual Tax Returns (Form 1040) and Business Tax Returns (Form 1120).
Analyze client financial data, tax documents, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to US federal and state tax regulations.
Handle complex tax scenarios including deductions, credits, depreciation, and adjustments.
Coordinate with onshore US teams and clients to resolve queries and obtain missing information.
Ensure timely completion of tax returns during the US tax season while meeting quality benchmarks.
Maintain proper documentation and workpapers as per internal and regulatory standards.
Support junior associates through guidance, review, and technical assistance.
Stay updated with changes in US tax laws and IRS regulations.
Strong knowledge of US taxation, especially 1040 and 1120 returns.
Proficiency in US tax software such as CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy.
Ability to work under tight deadlines during peak tax season.
Good communication skills to interact with US clients and internal stakeholders.
Proficient in MS Excel and other accounting tools.
3 to 6+ years of relevant experience in US Taxation.
Hands-on experience handling end-to-end preparation and review of 1040 and 1120 tax returns.
Prior experience working with US CPA firms or global accounting organizations is highly preferred.
US Tax Season role with fixed weekly offs.
Shift aligned with US business hours (as per client requirements).
Overtime or extended hours may be required during peak filing deadlines.
In-depth understanding of US federal and state tax compliance.
Ability to interpret IRS guidelines and apply them practically.
