Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical support to our US-based clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues while maintaining a high standard of customer service. This role requires flexibility to work rotational night shifts to align with client operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to US clients, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software applications.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

  • Respond to helpdesk tickets and service requests, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Maintain documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and IT processes.

  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and vendors for escalated issues.

  • Assist in deploying IT infrastructure upgrades and system patches.

  • Provide guidance and training to end-users on IT tools, best practices, and security protocols.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, VPN, and common desktop applications.

  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).

  • Experience with remote desktop tools and IT helpdesk ticketing systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with international clients.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Experience

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in desktop support, preferably supporting US or international clients.

  • Experience in a rotational night shift environment is highly desirable.


Working Hours

  • Rotational night shifts to support US client operations.

  • Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours as required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • In-depth understanding of desktop, laptop, and peripheral hardware troubleshooting.

  • Strong grasp of IT service management best practices.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent client support.
