Global MNC Tech is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Desktop Support Engineer L1 to join our dynamic IT support team for a leading MNC client. This role involves providing first-level technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of working in a rotational shift environment to support global operations.
Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues to end-users via phone, email, or ticketing system.
Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues including Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, peripheral devices, and VPN connectivity.
Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment.
Escalate unresolved technical problems to higher-level support teams or vendors as necessary.
Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, resolutions, and IT inventory.
Ensure timely follow-up and closure of support tickets, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Support IT projects, including system upgrades, software deployments, and asset management.
Adhere to IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
Diploma or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft Office applications, and networking fundamentals.
Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, printers, and peripherals.
Understanding of VPN, remote desktop tools, and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle end-user issues professionally.
0–2 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or helpdesk roles is preferred.
Experience working in rotational shifts or supporting global clients is an advantage.
Rotational shifts (including nights and weekends) to support 24/7 global operations.
Flexibility to adapt to shift changes as per business requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow troubleshooting protocols.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Quick learner with a willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes.
Strong time management skills to prioritize and handle multiple support requests efficiently.
