We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll & Compliance Officer to join our HR operations team in Karachi. This role is crucial in ensuring that employee compensation is accurate, timely, and aligned with company policies and local labor laws.

Key Responsibilities



  • Process end-to-end monthly payroll in a timely and accurate manner

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements (EOBI, SESSI, tax laws, gratuity, etc.)

  • Maintain employee data in HRIS, ensuring accuracy for payroll and compliance reports

  • Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly reports to regulatory bodies

  • Handle employee queries related to salary, deductions, and benefits

  • Coordinate with Finance for payroll disbursements and reconciliations

  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information

  • Assist in developing and updating payroll and compliance SOPs

  • Stay current with changes in local labor and tax laws and advise HR leadership accordingly



Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in payroll management and compliance

  • Strong understanding of Pakistani labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory contributions

  • Proficiency in HRIS or payroll software (SAP, PeopleSoft, or similar systems preferred)

  • Advanced Excel skills for payroll calculations and reporting

  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be based in Karachi
