Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage information security projects related to cloud services, ensuring that security controls are effectively implemented and maintained across cloud environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and cloud architects, to design, implement, and secure cloud-based systems.
Assess security risks in cloud applications, infrastructure, and platforms, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices specific to cloud environments.
Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
Assist in the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities within cloud infrastructure and applications.
Stay up to date with the latest trends in cloud security and industry best practices, and incorporate them into the organization security strategy.
Work closely with other project managers and business units to ensure security considerations are integrated into all cloud-based initiatives.
Lead the development and implementation of cloud security awareness and training programs for internal teams.
Act as a point of contact for security-related inquiries and support the overall security strategy of the organization.
Maintain and report on project progress, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Strong experience in information security, with a focus on securing cloud environments.
In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, as well as cloud security best practices.
Experience with security tools for cloud environments (e.g., AWS CloudTrail, Azure Security Center, Google Cloud Security Command Center).
Solid understanding of cloud security concepts, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and threat detection.
Experience managing and executing security projects, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical security issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Industry certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Security Specialty, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent.
Experience with DevSecOps and secure cloud-native application development practices.
Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
Prior experience with compliance audits and understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
Strong experience working with cloud-based security tools and services for threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
