Controls and Technical Support Engineer

Job Summary:

Progressive Technology is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls and Technical Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing technical support for our control systems and ensuring seamless operation of our engineering solutions. You will work remotely, offering technical expertise to resolve issues, optimize performance, and support the development of advanced control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for control systems, including hardware and software issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement control strategies and solutions.
• Conduct system analysis, diagnostics, and root cause analysis for control system malfunctions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and support procedures.
• Assist in the development of system improvements and upgrades.
• Train and support end-users on control systems and technical processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for control systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in control systems software and hardware, including PLCs, SCADA systems, and DCS.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with programming languages related to control systems (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in control systems engineering or technical support.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving control system issues.
• Experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment is a plus.
