QA Automation Engineer | WFH

Job Summary:

Progressive Technology is seeking a talented QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and solutions to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute automated test cases, identify and report bugs, and drive continuous improvement in our testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and design test cases.
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects or issues.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in test scripts and test environments.
• Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and tools.
• Prepare and present test reports, including test coverage and defect metrics.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to test strategy discussions.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve testing processes and tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Experience with API testing and performance testing is a plus.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a technology company is preferred.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
• Flexible working hours with occasional overtime as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• In-depth understanding of automated testing principles and best practices.
• Ability to create and maintain test automation scripts for various types of testing (functional, regression, performance).
• Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of issues and suggest improvements.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
