IT Security & Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary:

As an IT Security & Infrastructure Specialist at Progressive Technology, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect our systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This position involves both strategic planning and hands-on management to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect IT infrastructure.
• Monitor and analyze security incidents and respond to threats in real-time.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
• Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security tools.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement secure infrastructure solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance on security-related issues.
• Prepare and present reports on security status and incidents to senior management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT security and infrastructure management.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall configurations, and intrusion detection systems.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with security tools and software (e.g., SIEM, antivirus, vulnerability scanners).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security and infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on experience with security technologies and best practices.
• Experience in a remote or distributed work environment is a plus.
