Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Superintendent at Progressive Technology, you will oversee and manage the maintenance operations for our facilities in Ontario, Canada. Your role will ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards. You will lead a team of maintenance personnel and collaborate with other departments to maintain optimal facility performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and facilities.
  • Monitor and manage the maintenance budget, including procurement of supplies and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee emergency repair work and coordinate with external contractors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support facility operations and address any maintenance-related concerns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance role.
  • Experience in managing budgets and working with contractors.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call availability for emergency situations.

  • In-depth understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
