The Pre-30 day collector is a customer service oriented position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with making outbound calls using an auto dialer to collect on accounts that are 1-30 days past due. Answer inbound customer service and collection calls. This position requires the candidate to have good negotiation and listening skills. The Pre-30 day collector is able to effectively use good judgment based on their past experience to make suitable and timely payment plans with our customers. The employee will perform all duties in accordance to Westlake’s policies, procedures and compliance.

PAY RATE: $15 – $17.88 per hour plus bonus potential of up to $500 or more monthly based on performance

WEEKDAY NIGHT SHIFT RANGE: 4pm – 9pm CT

WEEKEND SHIFT RANGE: 5am – 2pm CT

Tasks And Responsibilities

The role of the Pre 30 day collector is a critical position for Westlake Financial, our candidate of choice will be able to balance the following skills sets to be successful.

  • Good negotiation skills- accomplished through mutual communication between agent and customer to successfully obtain payment.
  • Meet and exceed daily goals and monthly goals. Initiate outbound calls that are effective in scope, and lead to successful payment or timely arrangement to satisfy the account delinquency.
  • The ability to balance both incoming customer service/collection inquiries from Westlake customers, while delivering an exceptional level of service.
  • Work with Westlake customers to find and arrange collection solutions for individual accounts. Demonstrates ability to be team player.

Experience And Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Good communication, listening and problem-solving skills
  • Basic to intermediate computer knowledge
  • Reliable attendance
  • Proper grammar and email etiquette
  • Type a minimum of 35 WPM
  • Ability to work under time constraints and daily deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills and teamwork awareness
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evening shifts, overtime and weekends
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is welcomed but not required
  • Minimum one year customer service experience in a high call volume, auto dialer environment preferred
  • Auto Collections experience preferred

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE

  • Daybreak or other retail consumer servicing systems.
  • Aspect or other auto dialer systems.
  • Web navigation and/or web-based applications.
  • Personal computer: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • 10-key calculator and QWERTY keyboard skills.
  • Copier, Faxing & other general office supplies
